Authorities of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have stated clearly that on no account should the party re-admit Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State into its fold, after betraying the party in the past.

A member of Board of Trustees, BOT of APGA Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka who disclosed this yesterday in an interview with newsmen at Oba, Anambra state, insisted that Okorocha does not deserve to come back to the party based on his clandestine political activities.

Ezeonwuka who was reacting to speculations making the rounds that Okorocha might return to APGA and had in fact offered a N3 billion gratification to APGA leadership to re-admit him into the party, after losing out in the just concluded APC wards and local governments congresses and failing to convince members of All Progressives Congress, APC in Imo state to accept his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu to succeed him as the next governor of Imo state, insisted that for Okorocha to come back to APGA would be as difficult as the Biblical injunction which states that ‘it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go to heaven’.

He recalled that Okorocha had won the Imo state governorship seat under the platform of APGA but he later abandoned the party and decamped to APC, which is a betrayal of trust, adding that for him to make a U-turn now that his APC is not in support of his plan to install his son- in -law to succeed him will no longer be feasible because people like him need to be paid back in their own coin for that betrayal.

According to the BoT member, “Okorocha is a betrayal, he betrayed APGA and caused irreparable and unforgiveness loss to the party and I doubt if he can fool APGA for the second time. He succeeded in the first fooling but second fooling cannot work. APGA is not composed of foolish people. You can fool all the people for some time but you can’t fool them all the time”.

The APGA trustee who is the Igbo Spiritual Leader, (Ogilisi Igbo) added further that “Governor Okorocha wants to introduce family dynasty to Igbo land and bring governance into his family by installing his son- in -law as the next governor but little did he know that Ndigbo have not attained that stage where governance will become family dynasty”.

“Such a plot has never happened anywhere in Igbo land. Okorocha cannot start it for us. The Igbo’s cannot allow such selfish and foolish thing to happen. Imo state is too big for him to try what he wants to do. He will not succeed”.
