Hope Uzodinma's Ward Chairman beaten to stupor for secretly giving Hope APC card 3 months ago

Reports reaching Dknaija News desk has it that suspected government thugs has beaten the APC ward Chairman of Omuma in Oru East Local Government Area of the state to stupor for secretly giving Senator Hope Uzodinma an APC membership card three months ago.

The Governor Rochas Okorocha had opposed the defection of the Senator representing Orlu zone to the APC from PDP when the news broke in Abuja last week but was shocked to find out that Uzodinma had secretly obtained the membership card from his ward three months before the official announcement.

The two political heavy weights in Orlu have been at loggerheads recently following Rochas Okorocha's announcement of his desire to contest for the Senate seat which Hope wants to retain.

Okorocha's frustration came to the fore recently when he mocked Hope Uzodinma recently in a widely circulated video calling himhim "HIV" as he referred to accusations made against Senator Uzodinma some years ago by the estranged husband of late Ukachi, Nze Ebebeagu Ekenulo who accused the Senator of infecting his late wife with HIV.

The assault is also believed to be used to strike a blow at Uzodinma's home turf ahead of today's ward congress which Rochas is desperately trying to manoeuvre in his favour despite facing power opponents including Ararume, Madumere, Ejiogu, Nwajiuba, Uwajumogu amongst others who have according to reports joined forces to outwit Okorocha. They are opposed to Okorocha's desire to foist his son-in-law as the party flag bearer and eventually succeed him as governor of the state.
