Following the defeat last Saturday of the Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha in the hands of the coalition comprising of Senators Ifeanyi Ararume, Osita Izunaso, Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere, Hope Uzodinma, Benjamin Uwajumogu, Sir Jude Ejiogu, Hons Emeka Nwajiuba, Jasper Azuatalam, TOE Ekechi amongst others who are against the governor's desire to succeed himself with his son-in-law, Okorocha has embarked on massive sack of appointees in his government believed to be loyal to the anti-nepotism coalition.
First to get axed was the TC Chairman of Ehime Mbano Mr Obinwanne Onwuchuruba who reportedly spoke against Okorocha publicly pitting his support for the coalition.
The TC Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA which happens to be the local government of the Deputy Governor Mr Steve Odoemena along with the secretary of the LG council Mr Chinagorom Christopher have also been relieved of their jobs. Chinagorom in a desperate attempt to save his job had come on Facebook to pledge allegiance to Okorocha and his son-in-law but the attempt did not yield fruit as he was still sacked for his perceived loyalty to the Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere.
The SA to the governor on Security, Owerri Zone and a very close ally to the Deputy Governor Mr. Princewill Baba Ali has also been sacked.
They all have been ordered to hand over all government properties in their possession to their successors with immediate effect or face the full wrath of the law.
More sacks are expected in days to come as Okorocha is set to clean house and sack anybody suspected to be working with the coalition.
