The former governor of Imo State Dr Ikedi Ohakim took to his Facebook page yesterday to remember the eighth year anniversary of former president Musa Yar'Adua. His post reads:
I spent a better part of today like I do since the day you left us, in sober reflections and prayers which is why I am making this post this late. It has been eight years my dear friend, eight long years but just like yesterday I still remember my devastation that day when I heard the news of your demise. You were a man I had come to believe in, a man who though you are no more, I still call my friend. My President, you were a man of vision who meant very well for our dear country. You were a man who saw every Nigerian regardless of religion or ethnicity as one. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? You took away a great leader, a dear friend from all of us and even till today your death is felt throughout the country and beyond. Indeed things were getting better when you were in-charge and would surely have turned around for good for all of us. But who are we to question God who saw it fit to call you to His kingdom? I know we will meet again one day my dear friend. Sleep on Musa, rest in the bosom of the Almighty my President"
We at Dknaija.com pray for the soul of one of the finest gentlemen that ever led Nigeria. Rest in peace President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua
