Okorocha still in charge - Imo Information Commissioner Obiaraeri

Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri, the Imo State Commissioner for Information and a former political ally of Senator Ifeanyi Ararume has reiterated that Governor Rochas Okorocha is still firmly in control of Imo APC and believes the results of the Saturday ward congress would not hold.

He gave this impression through numerous posts on his Facebook handle where he challenged anybody to publish any copy of the Ward congress results.

Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri was in the entourage that accompanied Gov Okorocha to Daura to meet President Muhammadu Buhari to appeal foe the cancellation of the Saturday ward congress in Imo State.

Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri contested for the senatorial position to represent Okigwe zone in the Senate in 2015 where he was defeated at the primaries by Senator Athan Achonu. He would later join Senator Ararume to ensure Gov Okorocha was reelected in 2015 and for which he was rewarded with some political appointments.

Recent happenings suggests that he has pledged his support fully with the Okorocha faction turning his back against his former ally Ararume.

Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri served under the administrations of former governors Chief Achike Udenwa and Dr Ikedi Ohakim both of whom he have turned against in recent times criticizing their governments despite being part of the two administrations.
