Quote: I'll rather forfeit my governorship than allow Imo become a family business

One of the Imo APC governorship front runners Senator Ifeanyi Ararume have been quoted to declare that he would rather forfeit his desire to serve his people than let Imo State be converted into a family business.

This statement was believed to have been made as a backdrop to the desires of the outgoing governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha to hand power over to his son-in-law thereby converting Imo State into a monarchy where leadership becomes a family right.
