A governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, has predicted that the people of the South East would support the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at the flag-off of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) reconstruction of Anara-Mbeke-Umuelemai road in Okigwe Zone of the state, yesterday, Araraume said, “Our people have resolved that our president will be re-elected in 2019. It is the decision of our people; the people of this senatorial district, state and the South East region. President Buhari has done well for Ndigbo and deserves our support,” he said.
The media adviser to Araraume, Ik Ogbonna, quoted him as saying that the Anara-Mbeke-Umuelemai road was a major link to Abia and Akwa-Ibom states with connection to Owerri and Orlu zones of the state.
Araraume, who is the Federal Commissioner representing the South East in the National Communications Commission (NCC), said accidents recorded on the road owing to bad spots would also now be a thing of the past with attendant economic and concomitant benefits to the people of the area.
