URBAN RENEWAL: IMSU FRONT GATE TO BE MOVED TO MBONU OJIKE

Plans, it has been revealed is now on the way to move the Imo State University front gate away from the Samek area where it presently faces to Mbonu Ojike road.
According to the contractor handling the new Mbonu Ojike link road, Engineer Ndubuisi (ND), he claimed the decision to move the front gate was based on incessant accidents that have happened in that area in the past that resulted in lose of lives of student. He further explained that the ultimate decision will be taken after the completion of the new Mbonu Ojike link road where work is currently in progress.
However DK9ja gathered from those trading at the front gate of the institution that such a move was just another way for the government to continue to impoverish the people of Imo State and a move they believe now to have become a policy of the Okorocha administration. They are of they view that closing the front gate will kill their businesses as there was not enough space at the Mbonu Ojike axis to accommodate all of them.
